i just finished reading bob ong's latest book, macarthur. first comment, too much profanity. DEFINITELY something that shouldn't be read by children. but yan lang ang negative comment ko. what happened in the story can be related to reality. i believe that that's what poor teenagers experience. the last part was a sad one. cyrus killed his own grandfather. he was having hallucinations. akala niya halimaw yung lolo niya. that was the effect of shabu. noel finally had the courage to back to his family, his home. he was fully accepted by everyone. and it can be implied that it was the beginning of something new and good for noel. and my last comment on the book, PURE TAGALOG as usual. haha. two thumbs up for bob ong again! ang galing talaga. ;)
